Trigger Finger
Mon, 08 Aug 2011

Trigger Finger is a condition where finger movement is limited either when you try to straighten your finger or it locks/catches before finally returning to an extended position. The condition affects the tendons in your thumb or finger. There is no known cause; however, it is more common in women than men. It occurs more frequently in people from the ages of 40-60. If you experience pain when bending or straightening your finger, swelling, catching or popping sensation in your finger or thumb joints, you might have a trigger finger condition. The physicians at Miller Orthopaedic will examine your condition and provide you with a treatment plan to reduce or eliminate your symptoms.
