Lila Lassen, nurse practitioner, heads up the Iowa Bone Health Center at Miller Orthopaedic. Lila is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist.  This certification allows her to interpret bone density tests and consult with patients to help reduce bone loss.  She uses a state-of-the-art GE Lunar DXA scan machine which has the capacity to test the bone mineral density of the hips, lumbar spine and forearm. The machine can also measure total body bone mineral density and total percent body fat. Results can be discussed immediately after the test. We offer consultations for treatment of bone loss and other issues pertinent to bone health such as diet, exercise and fall prevention.
